FAQ: Why do I ask so many questions?


I am nearing seven thousand subscribers, which is a great problem to have, but makes it hard to know what kinds of emails people actually want delivered (and which ones they don't.)

While I am endeavoring to offer contests worldwide, not every contest I particpate in/sponsor is open outside the United States. I don't want to excite people in Canada about a giveaway that is only open to residents of the U.S.

Also, spoilers. Discussing updates about new books in a series can potentially spoil readers who are still working on the earlier books in a series. In addition, I don't want to send promotional emails about a book if someone hasn't read the earlier ones yet.

Last, there are a lot of options for indie authors. Amazon, B&N, Kobo, Smashwords. I could go on and on. But it only makes sense (to me, anyway) to ask the readers where they prefer to obtain books from. When I'm contemplating whether or not a new series should go on Kindle Unlimited, and I see that 75% of you subscribe to it, well, that's an easy decision.

In short, the information that you provide will help me deliver the things you actually want on the platforms you prefer. And the best part is that it's always available to you, so you can update it any time you wish.
